A dance-theater piece about the power of collective action to transform trauma into a call for hope and repair
This is a story that could have happened to any one of us, anywhere and it's the story of us all

About The Missings
The dance-theater performance “The Missings”, originally produced by Theater Ulm in Germany and performed for an entire season to full-house audiences, now returns to the stage in its Israeli version.
The work was created as a response to the deep pain of October 7th. Out of the horror of the massacre, a wave of civil action emerged — turning grief into humanity, driven by a commitment to life, empathy for all those affected, and the creation of a shared space of compassion and responsibility.
The ability to come together and support those in need — with the understanding that in a healthy society, there are times when we are the ones who need help and times when we are the ones who give it — is what enables us all to stand strong, to dream again, and to rebuild.
At its heart, the performance honors a truth deeply rooted in the Israeli spirit: that every person is a world of their own. And from this universal message, it speaks to each and every audience member, everywhere in the world.
Through a powerful blend of art, personal testimony, music, animation, and internationally acclaimed contemporary dance, the performance succeeds in offering hope in a place overcome by loss — reminding us that even in the darkest moments, our identity, our values, and our shared vision as a society can still light the way forward.
